Anneli Rautiainen

Anneli Rautiainen has extensive experience in the field of education. Anneli started their career as a class teacher at Yliskylä Primary School and Kulosaari Primary School in Helsinki. Anneli then worked as a vice principal at Kulosaari Primary School before becoming a principal at two different primary schools in Helsinki, including Kulosaari and Käpylä Primary Schools. During this time, they served as the headmaster of a bilingual Finnish-English school and was also chosen as a district principal. Anneli also worked at the University Teacher Training School in Helsinki as a class teacher, where they supported student teachers during their practicum. In 2013, they joined the Finnish National Agency for Education, initially as the head of Basic Education and Early Childhood Education and Care and later as the head of the Innovation Unit. Anneli is passionate about developing education and helping teachers transform their teaching methods to empower students to take ownership of their own learning.
