Anu Halvari

Anu Halvari has extensive experience in the field of education, currently serving as a Counsellor of Education at the Opetushallitus - Utbildningsstyrelsen - Finnish National Agency for Education since January 2012. Prior to this role, Anu worked as a Lecturer of English at Muurame General Upper Secondary School from August 1998 to May 2011 and held positions as a Research Assistant and Researcher at the University of Jyväskylä from June 1992 to August 1998. Anu's work in language testing began with involvement in a project focused on developing a national language proficiency assessment system, which included ongoing responsibilities as a reader/marker/assessor for English papers in Finland's Matriculation Examination. Anu holds a Master’s Degree in English Language and Literature, Applied Linguistics, Education, and Teacher Training from the University of Jyväskylä, along with a comprehensive educational background including high school studies at various institutions.
