Laura Francke has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Laura began their career as a Scout team leader and leader at Scout team Mikaelin Sinikellot from 1994 to 2006. Laura then worked at McDonald's from 2001 to 2010, serving as a Restaurant worker, Trainer, and Shift manager.

In 2002, Laura transitioned to the education sector, working as an Elementary School Teacher at various schools until 2012. During this time, they also took on roles at the University of Turku, serving as a Study coordinator at Turku Centre for Labour Studies (2009-2011), a Lecturer at the Faculty of Law (2008-2011), and a Student counselor at the Faculty of Law (2007-2010).

From 2012 to 2013, Laura worked as a Lawyer at Opetushallitus - Utbildningsstyrelsen - Finnish National Agency for Education, before moving on to the Ministry of the Interior, where they worked as a Senior Advisor from 2013 to 2014.

In 2015, Laura held multiple roles at different organizations. Laura worked as a Lawyer at Opetushallitus - Utbildningsstyrelsen - Finnish National Agency for Education until 2022, where they were responsible for children's rights in schools, human resources innovation, and GDPR and digital/social media development. Laura also took on the position of Business Director at Kaswu oy from July to December 2019, where they developed the scientific foundation for their ML-solution and provided legal advisory services. Additionally, they worked as a Research Director at Kaswu oy from 2015 to 2019, focusing on pilot cases with large Finnish corporations.

Furthermore, Laura served as the Chairperson at Ruoholahti-Jätkäsaari area for Mannerheimin Lastensuojeluliitto - Mannerheim League for Child Welfare from 2017 to 2022, showcasing their commitment to child welfare and advocacy.

In their most recent role, Laura is currently the Head of Unit at Opetushallitus - Utbildningsstyrelsen - Finnish National Agency for Education, a position they have held since March 2022. In this role, they are responsible for leading a unit and overseeing projects related to support measures during the COVID-19 pandemic and Russia's attack on Ukraine.

Laura Francke has a diverse education history. Laura first attended Turun Puolalanmäen lukio from 1998 to 2001, but it is unclear what degree or field of study they pursued there. Laura then pursued a Master of Education degree from Turun yliopisto - University of Turku, completing it between 2001 and 2007. Following that, they pursued a Master of Law degree from the same university, completing it between 2004 and 2011. In 2019, Laura Francke obtained a Specialist Qualification in Product Development from the Management Institute of Finland MIF Oy.
