Mikko Hartikainen

Mikko Hartikainen has extensive experience in education, currently serving as Counsellor of Education at the Opetushallitus - Utbildningsstyrelsen - Finnish National Agency for Education since May 2007. Prior to this role, Mikko worked as a visual arts teacher at the City of Helsinki's Vuosaari General Upper Secondary School from August 1995 to April 2007. Mikko also held various lecturer positions in visual arts education at the University of Helsinki and UIAH - University of Art and Design Helsinki between 2001 and 2004. Mikko's educational background includes a Master of Arts degree in visual arts education from UIAH, earned between 1985 and 1992, and completion of The Finnish Matriculation Examination at Savonlinna General Upper Secondary School of Visual Arts and Music from 1982 to 1985.
