Monica Kay Provence

Monica Kay Provence is a seasoned Software Engineer II at Ophelia since June 2022, with prior experience as a Junior Instructor and Teaching Assistant at Nashville Software School, where responsibility included teaching and mentoring students in full-stack development. Monica's technical expertise encompasses HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and React JS, as well as proficiency with Git and GitHub, alongside collaborative practices such as Scrum and agile workflows. Additional experience includes roles as a co-founder of So Sketch!, a bartender at Third Coast Comedy Club, and a performer with Worst Case Scenario Comedy. Monica has also worked in healthcare claims as a Denials Specialist and has experience in art education, having served as an art teacher and instructor in various settings. Monica holds a Bachelor of Science in Art Teacher Education from Middle Tennessee State University and graduated from Nashville Software School in 2021.
