Andrea Marshall

Andrea H. Marshall, J.D., is an accomplished professional serving as the Chair of the board of directors of SC Launch, Inc. and a trustee of the South Carolina Research Authority (SCRA) board. Currently, she holds the position of Vice President, General Counsel, and Administrative Officer at MedTrust Holdings, Inc., a rapidly expanding healthcare transportation company based in South Carolina, with operations in Georgia and Florida.

With a background in senior executive roles for companies at the forefront of emerging technologies, including a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company, Ms. Marshall’s expertise extends to innovation and commercialization. She previously served as the founding Innovation Director of the Roper St. Francis Research and Innovation Center in Charleston, SC, dedicated to advancing early-stage inventions in healthcare and life sciences.

Before joining Roper St. Francis, Ms. Marshall led Charleston Angel Partners, South Carolina’s foremost angel investment group, where she oversaw screening, diligence, and negotiation for investments in early-stage technology companies. As an attorney specializing in corporate law, securities, and mergers & acquisitions, she practiced in New York City with Holland & Knight LLP before moving to South Carolina in 2005. Ms. Marshall has also held key management roles, including Senior Operations Director for a corporate e-commerce division.

A distinguished alumna of The University of Texas School of Law, Ms. Marshall earned her law degree with honors, complemented by a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University. Actively contributing to the development of life science technologies, she serves as a board member of the Technology Accelerator Company.

Ms. Marshall resides in Mount Pleasant with her husband, Dr. David Marshall, a physician and Chair of Radiation Oncology at MUSC.
