Michael Kerr

Michael Kerr has held various leadership roles throughout their career. Michael co-founded and currently serves as the Managing Principal of New England Hydropower Company LLC, where they focus on developing and managing small-scale hydroelectric facilities.

In 2011, Kerr briefly worked as the Interim CFO at Acquia Inc. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Financial Officer at Wimba, a educational collaboration software company, where they played a key role in its acquisition by Blackboard Inc.

Before joining Wimba, Kerr was a Partner at MK Associates and held the position of COO and CFO at Serious USA, a venture-backed interactive media company. Michael developed strategic growth plans and implemented business systems to drive the company's success.

Earlier in their career, Kerr held various leadership positions at Getronics, including VP of North American Financial Services Industry and President of Business Solutions and Consulting. Michael led the consolidation of sales organizations, directed strategic plans, and built C-level relationships for lucrative software and service contracts.

Kerr also gained significant experience as the President of Americas International at Getronics, overseeing IT services and banking software operations in multiple countries.

In their earlier roles, Kerr served as the Chief Financial Officer at Boston Optical Fiber Inc, where they raised funding and secured patents for the company's technology. Michael also co-founded Opera Systems Inc, a start-up software company that developed high-capacity storage management software.

At the start of their career, Kerr worked at United Technologies as the Director of Asset Management. Michael successfully implemented an Asset Management Program and led process and structural reengineering initiatives.

Michael Kerr attended the University of West London from 1972 to 1976, where they earned a BA Honors degree in Business Studies.
