Bideru Wandera

Bideru Wandera has a diverse background in engineering and operations project management.

Bideru started their career at Unilever as an Engineering Intern in 2014.

In 2015, they worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Howard Humphreys (East Africa) Ltd.

From 2017 to 2017, they served as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Kenya Electricity Generating Company Limited, where they gained experience in repairing mechanical shortcomings, troubleshooting and repairing clutch and braking systems, and performing corrective maintenance.

In 2018, they joined Sanergy Limited as a Maintenance Engineer-Fellow for a brief period.

Later that year, they joined Opibus Limited as a Mechanical Engineer, where they were involved in designing, testing, and installing battery boxes and vehicle auxiliary systems, as well as evaluating risk proponents in the production chain and implementing mitigation strategies.

Since 2020, they have been working at Roam, initially as a Process Engineer and currently as an Operations Project Manager. In their role as a Process Engineer, they implemented production line designs, maintained project information, and prepared project reports.

Bideru Wandera obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. In August 2018, they also obtained a certification in Strategic Thinking from LinkedIn.
