Cynthia H. Coffman

Cynthia served as Colorado Attorney General from 2015 to 2019. During her tenure, she created an office of community engagement to enhance the office’s relationship with local communities and Colorado residents.

As chair of the Colorado Substance Abuse Trend and Response Task Force, she initiated the Naloxone for Life program to provide all Colorado law enforcement with Narcan and training in overdose reversal. She started The Colorado Healing Fund, a nonprofit organization that provides a secure way for the public to contribute to victims of mass casualty crimes in Colorado.

Cynthia formed The Coffman Partnership, a Denver-based consulting practice, to assist businesses whose products and services promote the public’s health and safety.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and her law degree from Georgia State University Law School.

Her career in the public sector spanned 26 years and included service as chief deputy attorney general to John Suthers, chief counsel to Gov. Bill Owens, deputy executive director of the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment, legislative research staff, and assistant attorney general in Georgia.
