Charlie Isaksson

Charlie Isaksson, PhD, is an accomplished data science professional with extensive experience in AI, machine learning, and data analytics. Currently serving as Manager of AI Capability & Automation at Oportun since June 2022, Charlie previously held the position of Principal Data Scientist at phData, Inc., where key projects included developing forecasting frameworks for Porsche. Prior roles at Securonix and State Farm focused on advanced analytics, cybersecurity, and cost-saving initiatives. Charlie's career began as a Teaching Assistant at Southern Methodist University after obtaining a PhD in Computer Science with a specialization in Data Mining. Additional past experience includes principal software engineering and IT roles, demonstrating a solid foundation in both technical development and data management.
