Sanjib Das

Sanjib Das has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Starting with their most recent role at OppFi as the Director of Credit Risk since August 2022, they were previously a Senior Credit Risk Manager and a Data Science Manager, responsible for developing and managing the credit underwriting strategy and policy. Prior to OppFi, they worked as a Senior Data Scientist at the same company, where they built marketing response prediction and underwriting scoring models, designed customized credit approval criteria, and worked with various departments to implement these models and strategies.

Before their tenure at OppFi, Sanjib worked as a Predictive Analytics Consultant at CNA Insurance, where they developed insurance predictive pricing models and performed data extraction, validation, and variable selection using statistical algorithms and big data modeling techniques. Sanjib also interned as a Predictive Analytics Intern at CNA Insurance, working on projects involving auto risk engine model scoring.

Sanjib has also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at UIC Liautaud Graduate School of Business, where they assisted with teaching business statistics. Prior to that, they worked as a Business Intelligence Analyst at Tata Consultancy Services, where they analyzed data trends and optimized data extraction and transformation solutions. Sanjib also had summer internships at Nokia Siemens Networks Pvt. Ltd. and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited.

Sanjib Das obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Silchar in 2011. In 2016, they completed a Master's Degree in Analytics from the University of Illinois Chicago-College of Business Administration. Sanjib also holds several certifications, including Machine Learning: Regression, Machine Learning Foundations: A Case Study Approach, R Programming, and Oracle Database SQL Expert 10g (1Z0-047), obtained in 2016 and 2012 respectively. Additionally, they received the EXCEL - ERICSSON PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION PROGRAM from Ericsson in 2010.
