Martin Wilson has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and industries. Martin is currently the Group Chief Operating Officer at Opportuni since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Paragon Banking Group PLC as the Head of Financial Crime & MLRO from September 2019 to November 2021. Martin also has experience at Barclays, where they served as the UK Head AML Operations from February 2018 to August 2019. Martin's earlier roles include Complaint Investigations at Barclays Corporate Banking from February 2015 to March 2016, and a sabbatical career break for property development from January 2013 to February 2015. Martin also has experience at the UK Ministry of Defence as a Senior Investigator-Manager from June 2007 to 2013 and at Avon and Somerset Constabulary as a Detective-Regional Field Intelligence Officer from January 1989 to June 2007.
Martin Wilson attended the University of South Wales from 1993 to 1995, where they obtained a HNC Public Administration degree. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Police Studies at the University of Portsmouth, completing it from 1995 to 1999.
