Dr. Earic Bonner's work experience includes serving as the Chief Medical Officer at Opportunities Industrialization Center, Inc. (OIC) since January 2022. Earic is also a General Internist/Hospitalist at ECU Health since January 2022. In addition, they have held various roles at Vidant Health, including Epic Superuser, General Internist/Hospitalist, Medical Director, Ambulatory Quality, and Patient Safety, Regional Medical Director, and Chair of the Ambulatory Quality Committee. Dr. Bonner has also been involved with Vidant Chowan Hospital, where they served on the Medical Executive Committee, acted as the Continuing Medical Education Series Director, and held the positions of Interim Hospitalist Medical Director and Chief of Medicine. Earic began their medical career as a Resident Physician at Vidant Medical Center from July 2012 to June 2015. Dr. Bonner has also been an Affiliate Professor and Assistant Professor at The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University since July 2017, with their assistant professor role ending in June 2021.
Earic Bonner, MD, MBA, FACP completed their education at several prestigious institutions. In 2007, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology from Livingstone College. Later on, they attended Meharry Medical College and earned a Medical Doctor (MD) degree in the field of Medicine in 2011. In order to enhance their skills in healthcare administration and management, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Health/Health Care Administration/Management from East Carolina University, which they completed in 2021. Additionally, they have obtained certifications including being Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2015, and they hold a Full Unrestricted Medical License granted by the North Carolina Medical Board in 2014.
