Opportunity Council
Kathryn Poole is a dedicated Conservation Educator at Opportunity Council since January 2023, focusing on energy conservation education for low-income clients and managing grant-related tasks. Previous experience includes developing communication strategies at Whatcom County EMS Administration and serving as a Public Health Intern at United General District 304 and a Case and Contact Investigator for Whatcom County Health Department. Kathryn has also worked as a Medical Assistant in phlebotomy at Biolife Plasma Services and a Peer Health Educator at Western Washington University. Early roles included program support at Boys & Girls Clubs of America and community volunteering at PeaceHealth. Kathryn Poole holds a degree in Public Health with a focus on Community Health and Psychology from Western Washington University, graduating in August 2021.
Opportunity Council
The Opportunity Council is a private, non-profit Community Action Agency serving homeless and low-income families and individuals. Their mission is to help people improve their lives through education, support, and direct assistance while advocating for just and equitable communities.
