Scott Walters

Scott Walters has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Scott'smost recent position is as the Chief Executive Officer at Opportunity International Australia, starting in July 2021. Prior to that, they held roles at Bible Society Australia, including Head of Strategic Partnerships and Chief Fundraising Officer, from July 2014 to June 2021. From December 2011 to June 2014, Scott worked at The Smith Family as the Head of Strategic Partnerships, where they led a national fundraising team and had responsibility for VIEW Clubs of Australia. Before that, they were the Head of Financial Planning at Yellow Brick Road from November 2010 to December 2011. Scott also has experience in consulting roles at Deloitte Australia and The Benevolent Society. Earlier in their career, they held leadership positions in financial planning at Mercer Wealth Solutions, Citi Smith Barney, BT Financial Group, and Merrill Lynch HSBC Australia.

Scott Walters has a diverse education history. Scott first attended Wellers Hill Primary School from 1966 to 1972. Later, from 1978 to 1980, they pursued a Bachelor of Business degree with a major in Accounting at QUT (Queensland University of Technology). In 1998 and 1999, Scott completed a Post-Graduate Certificate in Management at Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM). In 2002, they participated in the Sydney Leadership Program at Benevolent Society. In 2011, Scott obtained a Diploma of Financial Planning from Intellitrain. Finally, they pursued a Master's Degree in Early Christianity & Jewish Studies from Macquarie University from 2009 to 2018.
