Stephen Mercer

Stephen Mercer has extensive work experience in various managerial roles. Stephen currently holds the position of VP Service Delivery at OpSec Security since April 2023. Prior to joining OpSec Security, they served as VP of Customer Success from July 2022 to April 2023.

Before their time at OpSec Security, Stephen worked at DE LA RUE PLC as the Group Commercial Director from October 2018 to October 2020. In this role, they were responsible for winning strategic bids, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the margin expectation of the group.

Stephen also worked at De La Rue in multiple roles. Stephen served as the Service Delivery Director from March 2016 to October 2018, managing key service contracts and exceeding sales and profit targets. Prior to that, they were the Account Director, UK Passport from September 2014 to March 2016, where they improved the financial performance of the account and successfully delivered a new passport design with increased security features.

Additionally, Stephen has experience as a Factory Manager, Head of UK Operations, Operations Manager, and Director of Operations at various De La Rue companies. Stephen also worked as a Factory Manager at The Bread Roll Company Ltd and as a Production Manager at British Sugar.

Stephen Mercer completed their education in two institutions. From 1979 to 1986, they attended Taunton School where they focused on subjects such as Maths, Physics, and Economics. Following this, they enrolled at Swansea University from 1987 to 1990, and successfully earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Eng).
