José Tomás Martínez Garre

José Tomás Martínez Garre has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity and web development. José Tomás started their career as a Backend Web Developer at MetaEnlace Sistemas de Información in 2017. José Tomás then worked as a Cyber Security Intern at Universidad de Murcia from October 2018 to May 2019. José went on to become a Cyber Security Consultant at PwC España, where they analyzed actual threat actors and stayed up to date on the latest attack techniques from February 2020 to June 2021. Following this, they worked at Panda Security as a Malware Analyst, where they conducted detailed analysis of malware, tracked threat campaigns, and executed threat hunting cases from June 2021 to August 2023. Currently, they are working as a Malware Analyst (Filescan.io) at OPSWAT since 2023. Throughout their experiences, José has developed skills in reverse engineering, malware analysis, threat intelligence, threat hunting, and professional skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.

José Tomás Martínez Garre completed their education in Computer Engineering at the Universidad de Murcia from 2015 to 2019. José Tomás then pursued a Master of Cybersecurity degree at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid from 2019 to 2020.

In addition to their formal education, José Tomás obtained additional certifications. In August 2019, they earned a certification in "Machine learning for Cybersecurity" from The Security Sentinel. In February 2019, they also obtained a certification as a "Lead Auditor Certified" from SION by Novared.
