In 2008, Károly joined Ericsson as a Software Developer, where they primarily worked on developing a security-intensive customer network access system (RSG) using Perl, C, shell scripts, and GNU Make. Károly also customized, hardened, and administered FreeBSD and OpenSSH. Over the years, they progressed within the company and took on roles such as Team Leader, System Architect, and Product Owner. In these roles, they led development teams, performed low-level design, and managed product strategy, requirement analysis, and release planning.

In 2014, Károly transitioned into the role of Security Architect at Ericsson, where they were responsible for designing the security architecture of a customer network access system (CAS). Károly also improved and maintained the information security awareness of the staff, ensuring compliance with ISO/IEC 27001 standards. Later, they became a Security Auditor, conducting information security compliance checks and audits of corporate information systems.

In 2017, Károly joined OPSWAT as a Product Manager, where they were responsible for overseeing the product development and strategy. Károly later advanced to the role of Director of Product Management, where they continued to drive product initiatives and manage the product roadmap.

Károly Arnhoffer began their education at Lovassy László Grammar School from 1994 to 1998, where they studied Informatics. In terms of additional certifications, Károly obtained the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification from ISACA in September 2016. In March 2013, they earned the Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification from Scrum Alliance. Lastly, in April 2019, Károly obtained the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification from ISACA.
