Syed Ahmad

Syed Ahmad has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies and roles.

Syed started their career at Telenor in 2006 as a Transmission Operations & Maintenance Engineer. Syed'sresponsibilities included network planning, design, optimization, and execution of Core Transmission Network Projects. Syed also streamlined processes for fiber optic cable cuts.

In 2008, Syed joined the University of Florida as an IT Administrator. Syed provided support to over 1000 employees, handled employee onboarding and offboarding, managed internal account permissions, and developed processes for optimizing software licensing and hardware asset management.

After their time at the University of Florida, Syed joined Cisco Systems in 2011 as a Sales Engineer. Syed was responsible for product demonstrations, designing solutions for customer business needs, and growing relationships with channel partners for accurate sales forecasting. Syed later transitioned to the role of Enterprise Sales Engineer, where they managed complex sales cycles for enterprise accounts such as Gap Inc. and Stanford Health Care.

Most recently, in 2016, Syed joined OPSWAT as a Territory Account Executive. Further information about this role was not provided.

Syed Ahmad has a strong educational background and additional certifications in the field of engineering and technology. Syed obtained a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Florida, where they studied from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication Engineering from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, where they studied from 2002 to 2006.

In addition to their formal education, Syed Ahmad has also pursued various certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Syed obtained the CMNA (Certified Meraki Network Administrator) certification from Cisco Meraki in January 2015. Syed achieved the CCDP (Cisco Certified Design Professional) certification from Cisco in January 2014. In August 2013, they obtained the VSP (VMware Sales Professional) certification from VMware. Prior to that, they acquired the CCNA Voice (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification from Cisco in July 2012. In September 2011, they obtained the CCNP Route & Switch (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification.
