Jose Lujan

Jose Lujan's work experience includes serving as the Vice President of Product Research & Development at Opta Group LLC since April 2019. In this role, they manage the Technical group and oversees research and development efforts.

Prior to that, Jose held various roles at SKW Stahl-Metallurgie Holding AG from 2011 to 2019, including Director of Technology, Product Development Manager & Senior Data Scientist, and Technical Sales/ Service Representative. In these positions, they were responsible for product development, design optimization, and production issues. Jose also worked as an environmental engineering intern at Aluviones de Colombia in 2010.

Jose's earlier experience includes an engineering intern role at TEPSA in 2009, where they assisted in setting up a new brewery for Heineken and worked on cost reduction projects. Jose also served as an engineering intern at Empresas Publicas de Medellin, focusing on potabilization plant projects.

Prior to their professional roles, Jose was a student and also worked as an advisor to international students and tour guide at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

Jose Lujan earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology between 2007 and 2011. Jose also obtained several certifications including "Master Control in Supply Chain Management and Logistics" from Chalmers University of Technology in 2020, "Managerial Finance" from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2020, "Business Process Design for Strategic Management" from MIT Sloan Executive Education in 2017, "Financial Accounting," "Marketing," and "Operations Management" from the University of Pennsylvania in 2015. Additionally, they are pursuing a certification in "Innovation and Technology" from MIT Professional Education, expected to be completed in 2023.
