David Dreyer

David Dreyer has over 13 years of experience in the technology industry. David is currently working as a Senior DevOps Engineer at OptConnect, starting in October 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Systems Engineer at Willis Towers Watson from January 2019 to October 2020.

Before joining Willis Towers Watson, David worked at CLEARLINK as a Systems Administrator from September 2016 to January 2019. Their responsibilities included installing, configuring, tuning, monitoring, and supporting enterprise web applications and servers. David collaborated closely with developers and DBAs to maintain system performance and ensured systems were running efficiently.

From October 2014 to September 2016, David worked as a Web Systems Administrator at Xactware. David was responsible for installing, configuring, tuning, monitoring, and supporting enterprise web applications and servers. David also worked with other system and database administrators and development teams to support and optimize existing applications and design new ones.

David gained experience as a System Administrator at iFreedom Direct Corporation from November 2012 to September 2014. David worked at RemedyMD from May 2011 to August 2012 as a System Administrator, handling various IT tasks such as end user support, server administration, network maintenance, security, hardware purchasing, and project implementation.

Prior to that, David worked as a Technology Specialist at Western Governors University from September 2010 to April 2011 and as a Systems Engineer at SOS Staffing in December 2010.

From June 2007 to August 2010, David worked at Mozy Inc as a Senior Technical Analyst and later as the Director of Support. Their roles included system/software design and development, advising other Technical Consultants on systems integration, and overseeing support operations for the Mozy online backup software.

David also briefly worked as a Senior Team Manager at Mozy/EMC from August 2008 to October 2008.

David Dreyer attended Western Governors University from the year 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in IT with a specialization in Network & Security. Prior to that, from 1999 to 2002, they attended Weber State University and studied Psychology, though they did not obtain a degree from this institution. In addition to their formal education, David Dreyer has also acquired several certifications. In March 2017, they obtained a certification in Pistol Shooting from the National Rifle Association. David also obtained certifications in Network+ and Security+ from CompTIA in July 2015.
