George Metsis

George Metsis is a seasoned technology executive currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Engineering at Agora Labs, where efforts focus on developing secure and private health-data sharing solutions. As Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer at Optechain since August 2020, George oversees strategic direction and technology initiatives. Previously, George held the position of Lead Software Architect at the Greek Army from August 2015 to January 2020, focusing on NATO best practices and award-winning solutions. Additionally, experience includes serving as a Researcher and Teaching Assistant at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, where work involved autonomous agents and database design. George holds a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon and several diplomas in Computer Science, Networking, and Telecommunications from multiple esteemed institutions.
