Michał Fita

Michał Fita has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Michał started their career in 2000 as a UNIX Administrator at Polska Platforma Internetowa and then moved on to become a UNIX Administrator at Systemy Lokalizacji Obiektów "Lokalizator" in 2001. In 2003, they worked as a Technical Support at AdRem Software before transitioning into the telecommunication industry as a Software Developer at Motorola Polska Software Center from 2004 to 2006.

From 2006 to 2012, Michał worked at Motorola Solutions Systems Polska as a Software Engineer, where they were involved in the development and support of APCO 25 capable devices, as well as in projects related to extending features of Point-to-Point non-line-of-sight radio links.

In 2012, they joined ABB Corporate Research Center Polska as a Senior IT Specialist, where they worked on embedded development and implementation of proprietary PROFINET IO Device stack.

From 2013 to 2016, Michał worked at Hitachi Data Systems as a Senior System Software Engineer. Their responsibilities included fixing defects in the C++ code, developing Linux PAM and NSS modules, and working on system-wide multi-tenancy features.

Following that, they worked at Drayton Controls as a Senior Firmware Design Engineer from 2016 to 2021. During this time, they successfully deployed and maintained a Smart Heating system with numerous on-line installations.

In 2021, Michał joined Hadean as a Software Engineer, where they were involved in engineering a cloud scaling solution for distributed computing, virtual worlds, and the metaverse. Michał primarily worked with Rust and was responsible for quick provisioning and destruction of cloud resources controlled from a single command at hand.

Most recently, in 2023, Michał joined Opteran as a Senior Embedded Linux Platform Engineer. Further details about their role and responsibilities were not provided.

Michał Fita completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Computer Science from Wyższa Szkoła Zarządzania i Bankowości w Krakowie in 2006. Michał then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Computer Science from AGH University of Krakow from 2006 to 2008.

In terms of additional certifications, Michał Fita obtained a Certificate for a Certified PROFINET Engineer from INTEX in September 2012. Michał also completed the course "6.01x: Embedded Systems - Shape the World" from edX in May 2014.
