Optica
Jennifer Mayfield has extensive experience in the field of electronic publishing. Jennifer began their career in 1998 at The Optical Society (OSA), where they served as the Managing Editor for Optics Express for nearly a decade. In 2007, they were promoted to the role of Director of Electronic Publishing at OSA, a position they held until 2013. In 2014, Jennifer joined Optica as the Deputy Senior Director of Electronic Publishing, where they are responsible for directing online publishing operations and managing the digital library. Jennifer works closely with the Senior Director and Information Technology staff to plan and execute critical projects for the development of the digital library and related products and services.
Jennifer Mayfield earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from West Virginia University, where they studied from 1992 to 1996. Jennifer later pursued a Master's degree in Linguistics from George Mason University, completing their studies from 1996 to 1998.
