Chris Wilke

Chris Wilke is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in mechanical engineering, currently serving as Head of Mechanical Engineering at OptiGrid since October 2024. Previously, Chris held the position of Principal Engineer at FreeWire Technologies from January 2022 to October 2024, and before that, held various leadership roles at GE Current, including Director of Systems Engineering and Design Manager. Chris's background includes substantial experience in managing the lifecycle of LED luminaire products, leading industrial grade product development, and overseeing engineering teams. Earlier career roles include Lead Mechanical Engineer at Albeo Technologies and mechanical engineering positions at Picolight and Infineon Technologies. Chris holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder.
