Helena Engström

Head of IT at OptiGroup AB

Helena Engström has over 33 years of experience in the IT and business process sectors. Helena began their career in 1988 at Trelleborg Wheel Systems, where they held various roles such as Project Manager, Financial Manager, Assistant Controller, Assistant Production Controller, and Accountant. In 2000, they moved to Sigma IT Group, where they served as Group Consultant Manager and Business Consultant. From 2006 to 2007, they worked at Pergo (Europe) AB as Business Process Director and Director of IT Services, where they were responsible for the IT applications and the implementation of SAP. From 2011 to 2012, they were IT Responsible at Söderberg & Haak Maskin AB, where they were responsible for the IT infrastructure and the ERP system Bison. From 2012 to 2017, they worked at Axess Logistics as CIO, Chief Project Officer, and Business Process Director, responsible for implementing a new ERP system (Dynamics AX) in four different geographical plants. In 2022, they moved to ENTEA AB as Management Consultant / interim CIO, and in 2023, they began their current role as Head of IT at OptiGroup AB.

Helena Engström completed an Executive Master of Leadership & Management at Chefakademin from 2014 to 2015. In 2013, they attended IHM Business School for Business Management. Helena also attended IHM Business School in 2010 for Operations Management. Additionally, Helena obtained a Certificate in English for international business and trade from the University of Cambridge in June 1998.
