Steve Sommer

Steve Sommer currently serves as the VP of Supply Chain Engineering at Optilogic Inc. since June 2022. Prior to this role, Steve held various positions at LLamasoft, Inc., including Senior Director and Director of Applied Research, where multiple teams focused on supply chain simulation development within Supply Chain Guru. Steve also led teams as Director of Defense Research and Development and Manager of Defense R&D, specializing in custom optimization algorithms for complex military transportation challenges. Steve began the career as a Senior Solutions Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, earned between 2001 and 2006.
