Lisa Smith, MHA, OTR/L, CHT, CHC has a strong background in healthcare administration and occupational therapy. Lisa is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Optim Orthopedics. Lisa previously held the role of Therapy Administrator and Director of Occupational and Hand Therapy at the same organization. Prior to working at Optim Orthopedics, Lisa served as the Director of Occupational and Hand Therapy at the same organization. Before that, they worked as an Occupational/ Hand Therapist at Optim Orthopedics.

Lisa also has experience working at other healthcare organizations. Lisa served as the Clinic Manager and Occupational/ Hand Therapist at Sovereign Rehabilitation from 2008 to 2012. Before that, they worked as the Clinic Director and Hand Therapist at Physio from 2003 to 2008. Earlier in their career, Lisa worked as an Occupational and Hand Therapist at HealthSouth from 2001 to 2003 and at Rome Rehabilitation from 1998 to 2001.

Lisa Smith, MHA, OTR/L, CHT, CHC has an extensive education history. Lisa earned their Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Saint Louis University, where they studied from 1994 to 1998. Recently, in 2019 to 2021, they pursued their Executive Master of Health Administration degree from the University of Central Florida, focusing on Health/Health Care Administration/Management.

In addition to their education, Lisa also holds various certifications. In 2003, they obtained the certification of Certified Hand Therapist from the Hand Therapy Certification Commission. Lisa further expanded their expertise by obtaining the Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) from the Compliance Certification Board (CCB) in February 2019. Lastly, in October 2020, they obtained the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) certification from the Management & Strategy Institute.
