Steve Schwartz has over 15 years of experience in the field of cybersecurity and IT security. Steve is currently working as the Head of Cybersecurity at Optima Partners Compliance Advisory. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Security Consulting at Eze Castle Integration from 2020 to 2022. Steve also held the position of Director of Security Solutions at Alphaserve Technologies® from 2016 to 2022. Steve has worked with various other organizations, including S&P Global Market Intelligence and PwC, where they held senior roles in cybersecurity and risk management. Steve started their career in the US Navy as an Electronics Technician/Network Administrator. Overall, Steve has a strong background in cybersecurity and has held leadership positions in both consulting firms and corporate organizations.

Steve Schwartz has a strong educational background and extensive certifications in the field of cybersecurity. Steve obtained their Master of Science (M.S.) in National Security Studies with a Concentration in Cyber Security/Information Assurance from New Jersey City University in 2013. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in National Security Studies from the same university in 2012. Steve also gained specialized training in network security and vulnerability as a Network Security and Vulnerability Technician in the US Navy in 2009. Steve also received training as a Tactical Computers and Network Operator in 2006.

In addition to their education, Steve has obtained various certifications that enhance their expertise. Steve achieved ISO 27001 Lead Auditor certification from Exemplar Global, Inc. in August 2014. Steve also holds the Payment Card Industry Professional (PCIP) certification from PCI-SSC obtained in October 2013. Steve is a certified ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer accredited by PECB/ANSI as of July 2013. Moreover, they obtained the CNSSI 4014 Information Systems Security Officers (ISSO) certification from the Committee on National Security Systems in May 2013. Steve is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certified by the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC2) in May 2014. Additionally, they hold the Payment Card Industry Qualified Security Assessor (PCI-QSA) certification issued by PCI-SSC in September 2013. It is worth noting that Steve has expressed their intent to obtain the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) certifications, but no information regarding their acquisition is available at this time.
