David Hunter

Dave Hunter has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Dave is currently the Founder/CEO of Optimal Agriculture since 2018. Prior to this, in 2022, they worked as a Venture Advisor at Entrepreneur First.

Before their entrepreneurial ventures, Dave held important positions at various financial institutions. From 2009 to 2012, they served as the Head of Algorithmic Trading Product and Quantitative Strategies at Deutsche Bank. During this time, they built a large team of researchers and was responsible for designing and building the algorithmic trading system and trading platform from scratch.

From 2006 to 2009, Dave was a part of the AES Algorithmic Trading Team at Credit Suisse, where their responsibilities included product management, sales/marketing, data science, and software engineering.

Dave also has experience in algorithmic trading at UBS Investment Bank from 2005 to 2006.

Before entering the finance industry, Dave had an impressive career in the Royal Air Force. From 2002 to 2005, they underwent intensive pilot training and achieved notable accomplishments, including receiving a university scholarship, commissioning as an officer, and winning the Booth Cup for being the best pilot on the squadron.

Dave Hunter attended Aylesbury Grammar School, although the specific dates are not provided. Dave then obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Imperial College London, studying from 2002 to 2005. Dave pursued further education by enrolling in a Master's Degree program in Computer Science at the University of Oxford, from 2015 to 2016. Later in 2016, they briefly attended Princeton University to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science.
