Scott Pennings

Scott Pennings has extensive experience in the engineering field, with a focus on tooling. Scott is currently employed as a Tooling Engineer at Optimal Design, a Deloitte Company, starting in November 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Suncast Corporation for over ten years, from December 2011 to November 2022, where they held the position of Manager of Tooling Engineering. Before that, they spent five years at Intermatic as a Senior Plastics Engineer and Project Leader, from January 2006 to December 2011. At Intermatic, they were responsible for various tasks, such as tooling and part costing, project management, and collaborating with the design department. Scott also gained experience in quality control, assembly line set up, and automation during their time in Asia. Earlier in their career, Scott worked as a Senior Design Engineer at Roselle Tool/Abrasive Form Inc from January 1992 to January 2006, as well as at Century Mold & Tool, Swens Tool and Mold, Delta Tool Co, and ARC Inc in various design engineering roles. These positions provided him with expertise in design development projects, gage calibrations, first article inspection, and C. A. V.

Scott Pennings obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering from the Academic College of Manufacturing Engineering, where they attended from 1980 to 1984.
