Alain Maillot has been active in advising clients in international transactions with the exception of a one-year study at the University of Chicago Law School.
As a merger and acquisitions lawyer, he has been involved in representing buyers or sellers of companies and creating joint ventures between European and non-European entities. He has also represented investors acquiring companies in connection with privatizations.
He regularly represents both industrial buyers and private equity investors. He has recently engaged in teaching cross-border mergers in Paris primarily but has also been an adjunct professor in New York and in Singapore.
