Brian Myer is an experienced R&D Engineer at Optimax Systems, Inc. since October 2014, specializing in optical design and engineering. Prior to this role, Brian worked as a Research Fellow at Instituto Superior Técnico, focusing on spectrometer prototypes. As an Independent Consultant, Brian managed private renewable energy projects in Algarve, Portugal, engaging with various stakeholders. Brian also served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Appalachian State University, teaching Physics and directing research in atomic, molecular, and optics. Earlier experience includes a Graduate Internship at Sandia National Laboratories and research at The University of Arizona, where Brian earned a Master of Science in Optical Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics.
