Channa Weeratunge has over 20 years of experience in the field of software engineering. channa most recently held the position of Chief Software Engineer at Optime Subsea Services since February 2017. Prior to that, Channa worked at FMC Technologies as a Lead Controls/Software Engineer for almost 9 years. channa also held the role of Senior Software Engineer at CA Technologies for 9 years. Channa has previous experience as a Software Specialist Contractor at Emerson Process Management and as a Contract Software Engineer at Compaq Computer. Their career began as a Software Engineer at Platinum Technology, where they worked for almost 3 years.

Channa Weeratunge obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from the University of Houston-Clear Lake in 1991. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from the same university, completing it in 1994.
