Mahdi Ajjan

Mahdi Ajjan began their work experience in 2006 at the Medical College of Georgia as a Hospitalist Physician. Mahdi then moved on to Health Management Associates, Inc. in 2007, where they also worked as a Hospitalist Physician. In 2010, Mahdi joined OptiMed Hospitalists PLLC as the CEO and Chief Executive Officer. Mahdi played a significant role in the growth of the organization, which started as a two-physician hospitalist group and grew to a group of 50 medical providers. Mahdi also worked as an OptiMed Hospitalist Physician at Iredell Memorial Hospital in 2010 and at CaroMont Health from 2013 to 2015. Throughout their career, Mahdi has focused on providing high-quality healthcare to patients in North Carolina.

Mahdi Ajjan has a diverse education history with a focus on medicine and business. Mahdi completed their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at the University of Tichreen from 1989 to 1995, specializing in Hospital Medicine. Following this, they pursued training in Internal Medicine through a residency program at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University from 2003 to 2006, earning board certification in the field.

In 2015, Mahdi Ajjan enrolled in the Business of Medicine Physician MBA Program at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business. Mahdi successfully completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in 2017, specializing in the Business of Medicine.

In addition to their formal degrees, Mahdi Ajjan holds certifications from the American Board of Internal Medicine and completed the MBA program at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business, specifically in the Business of Medicine.
