Asgeir Tomasgard

Asgeir Tomasgard has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Asgeir started their career in 1998 as a Senior Scientist and Advisor at SINTEF. In 2002, they joined NTNU Department of Industrial Economics and Technology Management as a Professor. Throughout their career, they held several leadership positions including Director at FME CenSES, Director at NTNU Energy Transition Initiative, Director at FME NTRANS - Norwegian Centre for Energy Transition Strategies, and Member of the Board of Directors at Gassco AS. Asgeir also co-founded and served as a shareholder at Optimeering Aqua, where they held board member positions as well. In addition, they served as a Member of the Board at Smart Innovation Norway AS and Norsk klimastiftelse. Asgeir Tomasgard has also shared their expertise globally as a Visiting Professor at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Asgeir Tomasgard earned a siv. ing. degree in Industrial economics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in the year 1993. Asgeir later pursued a PhD in Operations research from the same university, completing it in the year 1998.
