Liz Barhydt

Liz Barhydt, CMA, CPA has extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Currently, they serve as the Head of Finance and Chief Financial Officer at Pardon Inc. and Optimism respectively. Prior to that, Liz founded Liz Speaks Numbers, an organization that empowers female finance and accounting leaders through storytelling.

Liz has also held leadership positions at Directive, Tinuiti (formerly Elite SEM), and CPC Strategy. At Tinuiti, Liz was the Vice President of Finance and played a crucial role in the company's growth and integration. As the Controller at CPC Strategy, they were responsible for all aspects of accounting operations and financial planning.

Liz's early career includes experience as a Senior Accountant at Neurocrine Biosciences, where they handled month-end and quarter-end closings. Liz also worked as an Internal Auditor at USAC, focusing on audit programs and internal control processes.

Their career began at Ernst & Young, where they worked as an Auditor, performing financial statement audits and compliance testing.

Liz Barhydt, CMA, CPA holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Wake Forest University. Liz also obtained a Master's Degree in Accounting from the same university. In 2003, they became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) through the North Carolina State Board of Certified Public Accountant Examiners. In 2020, Liz obtained their Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification from the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA).
