Lou Moss

Lou Moss has a diverse work experience. They started their career as the Director of Communications and Marketing at Clintondale Community Schools in 1973, where they worked until 2003. From there, they went on to hold various roles in several organizations, including being a Co-Owner at Unlimited Enterprises in 1998 and serving as the Vice-President of Optimist International starting in 2012. Lou has also been actively involved in Optimist Clubs, holding positions such as Charter Member and Past Governor. Additionally, they served on the Board of Directors for the Macomb County Chamber of Commerce from 2000 to 2005.

Lou Moss attended St. Mary High School from 1965 to 1969. After completing high school, Moss pursued a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Teaching at Marygrove College from 1969 to 1973. Moss then went on to Saginaw Valley State University, where they obtained a Master's degree in Education from 1973 to 1976.

Optimist International

Optimist International is an association of more than 2,900 Optimist Clubs around the world dedicated to "Bringing Out the Best in Kids." Adult volunteers join Optimist Clubs to conduct positive service projects in their communities aimed at providing a helping hand to youth. With their upbeat attitude, Optimist Club members help empower young people to be the best that they can be. Each Optimist Club determines the needs of the young people in its community and conducts programs to meet those needs. Every year, Optimists conduct 65,000 service projects and serve well over six million young people.
