Jean-Marc Fix

Jean-Marc Fix is an experienced actuary currently serving as Vice President of Research and Development for Biometric Risks at Optimum Life Reinsurance since September 2022. Fix has a longstanding commitment to volunteer work with the Society of Actuaries, including roles such as Chair of the Living to 100 Symposium Planning Committee and Chair of the SOA Mortality & Longevity Strategic Research Program. Additional volunteer activities include contributions to the American Academy of Actuaries and the ACLI’s Genetics Task Force. Previous professional experience encompasses leadership positions at Gen Re and Optimum Re Insurance Company, as well as key roles at West Coast Life and Transamerica. Jean-Marc Fix holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Whittier College.
