As the founder of Optimum, Balwant has been instrumental in nurturing the company from a small start-up to becoming one of the leading IT companies in Singapore, with an Asia-Pacific presence. In his role as the CEO Balwant, actively guides the vision, mission, and overall strategic direction of the company.

Balwant is an engineering graduate from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, and holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad.

Balwant is a strong advocate for Corporate Social Responsibility and has been supporting the cause of providing education to the less privileged through Optimum's partnership with SINDA (Singapore Indian Development Association).
