Thomas Duff III

Thomas Duff III is a Melt Shop Process Engineer currently at Optimus Steel LLC since March 2024, with previous experience in similar roles at NLMK USA and Cleveland-Cliffs. At Cleveland-Cliffs, Thomas contributed to the design of Top Pressure modulation control and performed extensive process monitoring and data analysis to enhance quality. Prior to this, Thomas served as a Technical Service Representative at EFTEC North America LLC, where responsibilities included inventory control and defect auditing at Ford Chicago Assembly. Thomas began a career in engineering at Quaker Chemical Corporation as a Process Support Engineer and gained early experience as a Walls Crew Member at Jeff Miller Concrete Inc. Thomas holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from The University of Alabama, earned in 2016.
