Max Shier

Max Shier is an experienced cybersecurity professional with a robust background in information security leadership. Currently serving as Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer at Optiv, Max previously held significant roles at Lockheed Martin, serving as Cybersecurity Director and Cybersecurity Senior Manager. Additionally, Max has an extensive career with the US Air Force Reserve, where responsibilities included Information Technology Operations Manager and Cybersecurity Test Manager. Max has also worked with the Defense Security Service as Cyber Team Lead and Information Systems Security Professional, and served as Cyber Security Assessor for the Army CIO/G-6. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Cyber Security from Colorado Technical University and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix.
