Darien Joso

Darien Joso has an extensive work experience in engineering. In 2020, they began working as a Senior Production Engineer for Optivolt, where they designed mechanical assemblies for solar integrated systems, with scalability in mind, and worked closely with contract manufacturers to carry out assembly processes. From 2018 to 2020, they worked at City of Hope as a Clinic Team Leader, where they designed an arm movement sensing device with a companion app for Tele-Rehabilitation with patent pending, and was familiar with 9 DoF sensors, circuit design, and iOS app development. In 2018, they were a Head Shop Proctor at Harvey Mudd College, where they provided safety protocols for the use of heavy machinery, with emphasis on CNC mills and lathes, and created CNC programs to streamline the process of producing large volumes of the same part. In 2018, they were a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Modbot, where they designed mechanical components for six-axis robots and mechanical housings, with emphasis on CAD design and dynamic testing, developed the assembly process for a cycloidal drive, and was familiar with overseas manufacturing. In 2017, they were an Associate Head Shop Proctor at Harvey Mudd College, where they managed operations and created and updated safety code of machine shop, trained new shop proctors on proper usage and maintenance of machines, and designed and edited process routers for project-based classes. In 2017, they were a Clinic Member at Bobcat Company, where they developed an automated coupling system for various heavy machinery attachments with patent pending, and was familiar with LiDAR, computer vision, dynamic profile analysis, data filtering and processing for heavy duty equipment. In 2017, they were an Electrical Engineering Intern at PilotCity.

Darien Joso attended Harvey Mudd College from 2015 to 2019, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
