Mikko Heinonen

Mikko Heinonen has a long history of work experience. From 2013 to 2021, they worked at Voimatel Oy, where they held various roles including Acting CEO, Deputy Head of HR, Head of Strategy and Innovations, Head of Development, Head of Development and ICT, Area Manager, Electric Networks Business Unit, Eastern Finland, OHS Manager, and Development and Quality Manager. In 2021, they became Chairman of the Board at OptiWatti Sverige and CEO at OptiWatti Oy. From 2009 to 2008, they worked at Savonia University of Applied Sciences as an RDI Adviser and Project Manager, and at Ecomond Oy as a Sales Manager. From 2006 to 2005, they worked at Savonia University of Applied Sciences as an Innovation Coordinator and at University of Kuopio as an Assistant and IT Researcher, and as a Harjoittelija.

Mikko Heinonen completed a Management program at Hanken & SSE Executive Education in 2017. In 2012, they obtained an HHJ - tutkinto from Kauppakamari and was also awarded an HHJ (hyväksytty hallituksen jäsen) certification from the Finland Chambers of Commerce. Prior to that, they earned a M. Sc. in information technology from the University of Eastern Finland between 2001 and 2005.
