Sr. Electrical Engineer / Automation Engineer / Control Systems Engineer at Opto 22

Roger Herrscher has a diverse work experience in the field of electrical engineering and automation. Roger started their career in 1984 as an Electrical and Controls Engineer at Robbins and Craig, where they designed electrical systems and control systems for automated electroplating machines for Fortune 500 clients. Roger then joined Robbins and Craig as the Electrical Engineering Department Manager in 1985, where they managed the department and supervised the design and installation of electroplating machines for clients such as AT&T, IBM, Hewlett Packard, Honeywell, and Alcoa. In this role, they implemented control systems using various PLCs, including Allen Bradley, Texas Instruments, Siemens, GE, and Opto 22.

In 1989, Roger became a Technical Consultant and worked independently until 1993. During this time, they provided technical consulting services to clients.

In 1993, Roger joined Opto 22 as a Sr. Electrical Engineer, Automation Engineer, and Control Systems Engineer. Roger still holds this position.

Roger Herrscher has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Roger is also a Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in California. In addition to their education, Herrscher has obtained the EIT Fundamentals of Engineering certification from the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES).
