Richard Wells

Richard Wells has extensive experience in content creation and editorial roles, starting as a Research Analyst at Preqin in 2008. Richard then moved on to roles such as Chief Editor at Settling Magazine Shanghai, Editor at JLM Pacific Epoch LLC and Research Editor at the Financial Times. Their most recent position was as VP, Research Content at iCapital, where they managed content creation for the Investment Products and Research team. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Content at Opto Investments starting in 2022.

Richard Wells completed their Bachelor of Arts in Politics at the University of Nottingham in 2004. Richard then pursued a Master of Arts in Chinese Studies at SOAS University of London in 2007. Richard furthered their studies in Mandarin Chinese at various universities, including Tsinghua University, Xiamen University, and Yunnan Normal University between 2007 and 2010. Their secondary education took place at Range High School in Liverpool from 1994 to 2001. Additionally, Richard has obtained certifications in Interactive Content Experience Strategy, New Manager Foundations, and Essential Lessons for First-Time Managers in 2021 and 2022 from various institutions.
