David Zautasvili

David Zautasvili has a diverse work experience starting from 1997 to the present day.

David began their career at Nokia as a Design Engineer in the RF team, working on the design, layout, and verification of the Nokia 7650. David then moved up the ladder to become a Team Leader in the RF team for Nokia's In-Market Products program, where they focused on improving manufacturing failure rates and implementing cost reductions.

In 2005, David took on a new challenge and moved to Japan as an RF Team Leader for the N93i camera phone project. David successfully led a team of 10 newcomers to deliver the product on time and in high quality. David also played a significant role in driving the RF automated test system and laboratory setup.

After returning to Finland, David was promoted to the position of Product Development Manager at Nokia. David was responsible for leading R&D hardware teams and taking projects from concept creation to mass production. Notably, they led the development work of the Nokia N93i and solved several showstopper issues to ensure a successful launch.

In 2014, David joined Microsoft as a Product Development Manager for Hardware. David continued leading R&D hardware teams and contributed to creating new and innovative product concepts.

In 2016, David took on the role of CEO at Labitat Oy, where they established the company to provide laboratory animal husbandry services to the University of Tampere. David proposed to outsource the Laboratory Animal Centre to Labitat Oy, saving the university significant initial investment costs.

Most recently, David joined OptoFidelity in 2021 as a Project Manager, overseeing various projects within the company.

Overall, David Zautasvili has demonstrated extensive experience in product development, project management, and team leadership throughout their career.

David Zautasvili attended Szechenyi Istvan University from 1993 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Radio Telecommunication. In November 2015, they also obtained a PRINCE2 Foundation certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice.
