Laura Piila

Laura Piila has a diverse work experience. Laura started their career at Optomed in 2010 as a Quality Manager, responsible for maintaining and developing ISO13485 certified Quality Management System. Laura then moved on to become a Business Development Director, where they managed OEM customers and made day-to-day operative decisions between production, RD, and sales. In 2017, Laura became the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Optomed, and later transitioned to the role of Vice President of Devices in 2019. Additionally, Laura has worked as the General Manager at Optomed China since 2020. Prior to their time at Optomed, they worked as a Build Manager at Nokia Oyj from 2007 to 2010, and as a Coordinator/Student Advisor at Oulu University in 2007. Laura also worked as a Thesis Worker at Detection Technology in 2006.

Laura Piila earned a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the University of Oulu between 2003 and 2006. In 2023, they obtained an HHJ-tutkinto, a certification as an "Approved Board Member" from HHJ - Hyväksytty hallituksen jäsen.
