Sakari Knuutti

Sakari Knuutti has extensive experience in various roles within the legal and corporate affairs field. Sakari started their career as a trainee at Prudentum Attorneys-at-Law and later continued as a trainee at Procopé & Hornborg. After that, they worked as a trainee at the Finnish Competition Authority in the Department of International Affairs.

In 2010, Sakari joined Ruukki Group Plc, where they held multiple roles including Junior Legal Counsel, Legal Counsel, and Head of Corporate Affairs. During their time at Ruukki Group, they were responsible for compliance, legal matters, and served as the secretary of the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee.

Following their tenure at Ruukki Group, Sakari joined CGI as a Senior Legal Counsel, providing end-to-end legal services and supporting M&A and integration activities. Sakari also worked as the Head of Investor Relations and Legal at Affecto Plc before it was acquired by CGI.

In 2020, Sakari became a Board Member at the Market Practice Board of the Securities Market Association, where their responsibilities included promoting good corporate governance and securities market practices.

Since 2021, Sakari has been a Board Member at Lifa Air Plc, a company that specializes in indoor air solutions and face masks.

Most recently, Sakari has been serving as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Legal Officer at Optomed Plc. In this role, they are responsible for finance, legal affairs, quality and regulatory, M&A, and investor relations. Sakari actively participates in strategic business deals and is a member of the group's leadership team and the secretary of the board.

Sakari Knuutti completed a Bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Helsinki in 2011. During their time there, they also pursued LL.M. studies at The Chinese University of Hong Kong from 2009 to 2010. In 2012, they began studying Accounting and Finance at Aalto University, where they are currently pursuing their studies.
