Wim Dam serves as Teamleider at Gelre ziekenhuizen in Apeldoorn since May 2009, overseeing the ophthalmology outpatient clinic. As a Bestuurslid for the Optometristen Vereniging Nederland since September 2021, Wim contributes to the board's initiatives. Additionally, Wim has served as a Grader at Maatschap Refractiechirurgie Gelre since March 2011, evaluating fundus photos for diabetes patients in the Apeldoorn region. Previously, from January 2014 to December 2016, Wim held a board position with the Werknemersorganisatie FBZ, representing the interests of the Optometristen Vereniging Nederland. Wim holds a Bhealth degree in Optometry from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, completed in 2009, and a HAVO diploma in Natuur en Gezondheid from CSG de Heemgaard, obtained in 2005.
